Smile Hi from the Snowy Mountains, Australia

Hi - my name is Chris and I retired 6 years ago with anticipation and trepidation - all that time and what would I do!!!! Why did I worry??? I now wonder how I ever had time to go to work!! My friends suggested I take up patchwork but they didn't know they were talking to someone who avoided sewing classes at school and could never sew a straight line. However 3 grandchildren came along and of course they all needed quilts, and so did their parents, and so did friends, and so did relations, and of course hubbie as well. And sew it goes on! And I've enjoyed every stitch of it. My first effort was a crazy quilt and have now almost finished a VERY large Jacobs Ladder quilt made mostly from scraps from all the other projects. I'm now about to embark on a log cabin quilt using some more of the scraps that I seem to have accumulated. Where do they all come from?????? Anyway - looking forward to sharing experiences with you all.
