    Default 1/4" seam guide

I just came across this video on YouTube then went to the site. This little gadget looks like a great tool for finding not only a 1/4" seam, but other widths as well. It really affordable too. Anybody have it?

That's really cool. As a beginner quilter I was having trouble with my 1/4 inch seam is I bought different gides but they tape on and have to be replaced when the adhesive becomes loose. I always heard that I shouldn't use magnets with computerized machines and this looks like its magnetic. Do you think that would be a problem with my machine since itscomputerized?

Thanks, Denis! That should certainly help those who need some extra help getting those accurate seams.

    Hi Denis
Good to see you. I am intrigued by this sewbuddy but am wondering how stable it will be to actually sew alongside of. How does one keep it in place? Would we have to tape it down or . . . ??
Thanks for the link; as I said, it is intriguing

I went to the website and it says it will not harm sensitive electronics, but I am sure it is magnetic. It was $3.99 plus S&H of $1.25 to my zip code.

I like the fact that it is easily removable and doesn't leave anything sticky behind.

It's great for sewing straight seams but for curves it needs to be easily removed.

I'm tempted by this gadget. It looks like a great way to have more accurate seams, AND its made in the USA!

Looks interesting...I just ordered it $5.25 with shipping. I figure if it's something I won't use - well it will just go in the pile of useless stuff I am collecting.

I have the 1/4" foot but I measured my seams today and some were a bit short of that so maybe this will help keep them all the same.
