Half-square triangle fun

Thought I had posted this earlier - so am hoping Admin will remove this if I did...

We're in the midst of a baby boom around here - there are at least six due between now and June, and I'm already behind several quilts! Anyway, we had a shower today for one mama, whose hubby is my DH's newphew. I picked up a charm pack of blue solids last fall at a retreat, and combined it with some baby fabric that sort of appeared in my stash... Please tell me I'm not the only one around here who finds fabric that they didn't know they had!

Also my first time playing with a half-square triangle layout; really fun!

I use to not like half-squares, but now I seem to be making a lot of them...go figure. Your defiantly not alone in finding fabric! or other notions for that fact! Some days I go down "Memory Laps Lane" Which occurs a little to frequent!

Some of my stash is a mystery, sometimes I think it reproduces in the closet. Usually it is in lengths that are not quite enough for my project.

Your quilt is super cute!
I love to play with HST's, DH and I have been known to play with them on my design wall for hours-forget movie night or game night have a HST night!

I love her quilt, the baby will be happy with her gift and also her mom. It´s a pattern that I always admire but I don´t like doing HST very much, but I think I am going to try

Hst have not been my friend...lol I do them, the trimming is tedious! Love your quilt, I might have to try it...I like trying new patterns.

I have been using some of the cake mix papers for hst and they work pretty well, squared up as you trim the paper. I have a roll of hst paper that I have never used that will make bigger ones that I will try next time I need some.
The only problem is that you will be making all on a "page" with the same fabrics.
