    very interesting to learn what the person behind the invention was like.
    had read a similar article somewhere, probably ismacs or within the history of wellington works, of the time they were all fighting amongst themselves regarding the patents.
    Sewing machines are still wonderful inventions, and still work give enjoyment 100 years later, quite an accomplishment.
    funny really the sewing machine helped in a small way for ladies to become more.

    I saw that article too, and learned a few things about Singer. I guess people who change the world aren't always the heroes we want them to be.
