Default Let's Make A "Striped Squares" FREE FAT QUARTER FUN Quilt!!!

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

I love this one! Looks like it would be a really quick put together once the cuts are made.

For anyone that is thinking (like me) about making this a different size, basically it's 4 blocks to a FQ and you'd need another quarter of background for each new FQ you add. Each unfinished block is 11", so 10.5 when sewn into the quilt.

    For example:
    Queen @ 94.5 x 105 = 9 blocks wide x 10 blocks long = 90 blocks = 23 FQ & ~5.75 (I'd just get 6) yards of background
    Twin @ 73.5 x 94.5 = 7 blocks wide x 9 blocks down = 63 blocks = 16 FQ & ~4 yards of background

Of course I like to make things even more difficult than they need to be and so I'm going to try to figure out how to put the blocks on point with all the white-bordered blocks around the outside edge...
