    Default First 2020 Finish

Here's a hexie throw I just finished binding. I started it last year. I used some of the hexies I made a few years back and hand appliqued them onto 4-patch blocks made with gray, black, tan and cream low-volume prints. I like the contrast of the vintage and the modern. The scalloped border keeps it connected to the vintage and the newsprint backing is trending right now. I wish the pictures were more clear. My quilter just loves this quilt....it may end up hers.

Bubby I love your quilt is a different way to present the hexies and really shows them very well and the scalloped edge makes it very elegant, great work

Love the scalloped border. It is the perfect accent for the hexies.

Bubby, this is a beautiful quilt. You showcased the hexie flowers so that they really stand out. Lovely!

Barb, that is beautiful. I especially love the way you used the low volume prints. You've just shown two things I have on my list for this year, work on my hexi quilt and make a scallop border quilt. I love a scallop border but never take the time to do it.
