    Default Sunday Morning Greetings! :)

Good Morning, Everyone ~ I don't see a thread started for today, so I'll chime in. Just getting my day started.

We had such a gorgeous day yest. The temp. was 64 deg. It felt like spring. Today is cooler. This a.m. will be church, then a relaxing afternoon. I hope to make it to the sewing room. The batch of chicken soup yest. made 15 qt. containers.

DS#1 & his wife now are moved back into their remodeled kitchen. He sent before & after pics. So beautiful. They will enjoy that for years to come. They'd had to move stuff out of the LR & DR, too, for painting & the new flooring. They're glad to have back their living quarters. It was a bit crowded in the bsmt. fam. rm. Trying to cook with only microwave & a hot plate.

    Have a good day.

Good morning everyone. I wasn't too busy yesterday. Trying to organize projects to take with me to retreat next week. Holy moly, that came up fast. So I will be doing that again today. My sewing room is a mess AGAIN!!! UGH!!

No plans to go out today, not even dressed yet and I may or not get dressed at all, LOL!!

    Have a great day friends.
Blessed are the children of the piecemakers for they shall inherit the quilts!

Good morning Joy and all who follow,

I'm slow getting around this morning. Yesterday was jam packed. I went and got some scrapbook bins at Michael's on sale and picked up the rolling cart for holding them. I've got it almost all put together. I also picked up some cobblestone and brick mats for the train room, discounted xmas area. I went to play bingo with mom, and used caller ID to call back people who have been trying to reach her. She can't pick up or reach phone, but that's ok since most of the calls are scammer numbers. Then I went to braid DDs hair for 90s party. The 3 GKs were being kept overnight so it was nice and quiet and I had a nice visit without disruptions. We were invited to an Impromptu chili dinner with neighbours & oher friends. My GF loves to decorate at xmas. There's a tree in family room, dining room, family room/kitchen and in rec room. Then there are lighted decorations and wreaths everywhere, all with white lights. It looks like a decorated home in a magazine. It was fun evening, where DH realized he was feeling the effect of too much wine. His voice is not getting better as he talked way too much. He is so quiet usually.

Today, I need to put away the xmas trees, change sheets, laundry get ready for this week. It's going to be super busy, so I need to be organized. I think I will make a hearty chicken stew/soup.

    Have an enjoyable Sunday.

Happy Sunday! I made a life change on New Years, broke up with my live in bf. He overstepped with my daughter and was trying to control her life, I found out he made her miss a final. She's a junior in hs and a member of NHS. I have to talk to the principal on Wednesday. He is a control freak, he was just getting worse. He's moving out, I'm staying at my parents house til he's out. My daughter and I are happy to be free.

I'm going to the casino today with my mom. Glad to get away! When we get back I'll meal prep for the work week. I love my job and am good at it!

Yesterday we checked out the local farmers market, I'm going to be selling small items there. I heard someone was selling bowl cozies for a ridiculous amount so I decided to check out the competition. Yes, ridiculous prices for our area. I won't have any issues selling there. Bowl cozies are the only thing we have in common. $8 for one does not fit with our economy here. I do $5 and have a great variety. I'm excited to start a new venture!!

Wish me luck at the casino!!

    Good Morning!

I am enjoying my second cup of tea. I'm going to see Mom at lunchtime -- I already called the facility and told them I would bring her a sandwich from Panera. She had a good morning and was at the morning activity when I called. Glad to see some progress, I know they are still having issues with her not sleeping. The activity this afternoon is a sing-along, she will enjoy that!

Yesterday I finished the first quilt top I pieced, which was also my first UFO! I pieced the top in November 2016. It feels good to have it done.

I will take my tree down this afternoon. It shouldn't take too long -- it is a smaller tree, 3.5 or 4 feet, I think. There is also laundry and grocery shopping to do. It's back to work tomorrow. Things should pick up this week, a lot of people took January 2 & 3 as vacation days.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Good Morning All,

I'm poking around here this morning. I'm feeling a wee bit better, not coughing as much, thank goodness, but still stuffy.

Mike took all of the Christmas stuff back yesterday to the storage. I've been Lysoling while he's not here. He can't stand the smell.

I will probably finish up the napkins this afternoon, at least get the rest of them turned out and ready to stitch.

Take care and stay away from this crud! Nobody needs this mess.

We are wrapping up the end of Christmas break today. Making sure we have all the school clothes washed and ready for the week. The PE clothes that were washed 2 weeks ago are in the gym bag. The backpack is cleaned out of extra papers and a fresh stock of pencils. We have stuff lined up for lunches this week. You know, the fun stuff.
I'm starting to pack up for next weekend. Throwing clean clothes in the suitcase out of the laundry. Portioning out stuff for meals (making some things for lunches this week too) for the three days. If I do it right, I'll only have to decide what I want to take as a project by Thursday night!
I think the tree will come out of the living room today. It has been stripped of ornaments and lights for a couple days. It still smells nice, but I'd like to have it out today so I can vacuum and clean the house before I leave for a few days. I'm not sure why I feel the need to have the house tidy before I leave for any length of time, but I do. It's not like the people at home couldn't do it, or even care if it's done!
It's rainy and blustery here today. A perfect day for inside stuff!
Make it a great day! Cathy

Julie your quilt is really pretty. Looks like Summer Breeze fabrics - one of my favorites. I love blue and yellow together.
