I recently bought a Beautural 1800 watt iron off Amazon. With the coupon, it was $40. It irons yardage way faster than my Sunbeam 1500 watt, especially when I'm trying to dry the starch or Best Press in the fabric. It gets super hot super fast, and I'm pretty happy with it. It's got some weight to it, too, which makes pressing easier. I'm still keeping my Sunbeam around so I can press block units and have my machine plugged in at the same time. When researching irons, I found out most common 120V outlets can only hold up to 1800 watts before you risk flipping a breaker.

One thing that drew me to this iron was the flat sole-plate. My other iron has grooves in the sole plate that sometimes leave dimples or still-wet areas in starched fabric. Flat soles like Beautural and most Rowentas seem to have more even heating.

I also have the Panasonic Cordless. I don’t mind it, but I find it too light.

Black and Decker. I do have the cordless, but the B&D lasted forever
