Default New 2 1/2" Hexi Template - maybe a methods improvement

Received the new template this morning and just had to try it out. Ooooops, no silicon pins to be found anywhere so I decided to test out the assembly with a lapel stick. Yep, I did pin the center (may try using the lapel stick for this too). My stitching is not as accurate as I would normally do and I used what thread I had in my machine, but this was just a test. Miters were super. Used a decorative stitch from my Brother to put the two together. All sides are accurate. If you try this, fold each section completely before you go on to the next. I think that's what they showed in the tutorial. Scraps here I come!

Good to know. My templates arrived this week. It will be after Christmas before I think about it.

Thanks for testing. Just received mine today. I bought the pins on
Ebay. I might make a I Spy quilt. Like the idea of decorative stitches.

I received mine yesterday. I ordered the pins from another site. I have a quilt on the frame and I am working on the Frolic quilt. I need to finish something before I start another project, although I am dieing try this out.

Check www.connectingthreads.com for the pins. They have them marked down

I got my template last week and itching to try it out. I also got the Clover fabric folding pen, which I thought might make the creases crisper.

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.

I received mine this week and am excited to try it out but it will have to wait for a few other things to be accomplished.
I am going to have a week or so in the summer without my machines so may do some of this to keep me busy.

YES! Great idea. I do not like them scooting around. Right now I am making a wall hanging with myfusible bosal foam. It works.

I would love to know how the pen works on the bias sides. Just watched a tutorial on it.
