My 21 y.o. GD Krista in MD was in a serious auto accident this a.m. After seeing the pics of her wrecked Explorer, all I can say is the good Lord was watching over her today. It's a wonder she wasn't killed. She was driving in heavy rain & wasn't able to recover from a skid while going around a curve on the hwy. She rolled the vehicle. She was transported by ambulance to an area trauma hosp. She has a lot of bumps, bruises, contusions, & had a bad laceration on her cheek that went clear to the bone & had to be sutured. She had a swollen area the size of a softball on her cheek. CT scans showed no visible signs of brain damage. They let her go home with instructions for no work or school for 7 days. She's a senior in college. Please pray for a good recovery for her. She also will need to find transportation for school & work. Prayers would be appreciated.

Re: Prayers Please for My Grand Daughter
Oh Joy I am so sorry! I am sure the nurse in you was driving yourself crazy thinking about all the what ifs. It sounds like she will be able to make a full recovery. We will be thinking of your family and please keep us updated on her recovery.Jocelyn

Re: Prayers Please for My Grand Daughter
Lots of good thoughts and hugs !
I am glad that she will be ok.
What a scare !!sigpic
God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

Re: Prayers Please for My Grand Daughter
Lifting prayers for a full and speedy recovery.
I hope she's able to work with her instructors to be able to follow the doctors instructions. It's so hard this time of year with exams and everything that's due before the end of the semester. I hope she'll find peace and comfort while her body heals.Katrina
