Hi - been sewing since I was in the 7th grade - too many years ago to count. Used to do patchwork. Got away from sewing for quite awhile and decided this winter to get the machine out again. Man, I really forgot how much I enjoyed sewing. So far, since starting this journey again in October, I've made a rag quilt (got another one cut out and ready to sew), a doggie quilt for my puppy, a baby quilt for a high school friends daughter, a throw for my daughter, and played around with some table runners and pot holders. And currently I'm working on a Dr Seuss baby quilt. (Wow - that's quite a lot actually. lol)
My Pinterest page is full of quilt blocks and patterns and I've learned a lot. My favorite videos to watch are the Missouri Star Quilt Co tutorials and ManSewing! lol I love the way Jenny teaches - fast and easy and simple to understand. I've watched a few other ones teaching the same blocks as she does and hardly understand them. The Dr Seuss quilt is made from a charm pack and the blocks are set on point - just as Jenny taught me with her picnic quilt!
Anyways - now I'm off to peruse the forum to see what other tips and tricks I can learn.
