    Default Montehermoso caps

Hello everyone in the forum. Today I am going to show a work of women for their use but using recycling material, if what our scientists and politicians have discovered and what convince us that they have invented it, well no, our ancestors used what they had at hand to recycle it and turn it into something beautiful and useful. Perhaps the pioneers of the West did not make their patchwork quilt with the pieces of cloth of ussed dresses? That is whatClick image for larger version.

ID:	161383 I call recycling. Today´s tradition is caps made of rye straw that the women of Montehermoso made to go to the fiels to work and then they were adorned for use in parties and celebrations. The caps have a special shape and are three different models, the single one has brightly colores wool and a mirror on the fron, the married one has more sober ornaments and has no mirror and finally the widow´s one has black color with ornaments creams. The caps has a rounded shape behin, where the tips of the handkerchief they used for the sun come out. In the photos you can see the women with the caps and the typical costume that consists of a cloth skirt and several petticoats also of cloth of different colors. Thank for looking and I hope you like the photos

These are so beautiful! I love seeing the traditions of other countries. My DIL is Okinawan, and when I've visited there, she's shown me wonderful Japanese costumes, dance, foods, etc.

Oh my, those hats are beautiful. How long does it usually take to make them? Also all those ladies look lovely in those hats. I have a hard time finding hats that I look good in. Thanks for posting. I enjoyed looking at them.
