changing pad for baby
My niece-in-law has asked me if I could make her a diaper bag with a changing mat/pad. Is there a washable vinyl I can use for the back? Is there a simple but good pattern for the diaper bag? I know you all have the best ideas. Sure could use one on this.
Thanks,
Gina

Re: changing pad for baby
I don't know about a pattern, but after having a diaper bag with a changing pad attached. I wouldn't make one like that. It makes it really hard to clean the pad, attached to the bag. I'd look for a bag pattern with separate pad that would fit in the pocket. That way when it gets messy you can pop it into the washer without having to wash the whole bag.

I cannot tell you how many of these I've made and the recipients loved them. My daughter had me make about 4 cuz she'd throw them in the wash and wouldn't have one for the next day lol. the pattern is called THE LET'S GO BABY! DIAPER CLUTCH It's a Go Fish Pattern by Fishsticks. It folds in thirds with a handle when opened it has two pockets on one end , 1 for the diapers and one for wipes. Very easy and fast.

If you do an internet search for changing pad pattern, there are a lot of sites listed. Check out YouTube. I watched one there.

JoAnn sells that "Pul" fabric in the baby section, made for projects like this (it can be wiped off.) It comes in some cute motifs bundled in packages and I also have seen it in yardage.
