    Default Raw edge applique

Hope you can help! I'm about to start cutting out some applique pieces from a fairly busy fabric but the only way I can get the pieces to look right is to slightly skew the fabric. As it's applique would it matter if the pieces were not on the grain. It's a cat applique so I don't want the the eyes and nose to be obscured by the fabric pattern. I'm thinking it should be ok but what do you think. Thanks for any advice

I don't think it matters since its applique. I would fussy cut the fabric to suit your block.

It shouldn't matter if it's not on the grain, especially not for raw edge applique.
