Do admins edit comments without notification?

Good Morning,

I went to look at a comment, where I had posted photos of project I finished, and the photos are gone and the comment has been edited. I don't have any messages from admins about it, either.

I'm super confused.

Yes, they will take out whatever they think is not suitable for conversation. Never explain why either. If they think it will cause any drama it is gone.

I'm still confused why my comment would've caused drama. Who do I contact to find out why it was deemed not suitable, or ?

Karen McEuen is a moderator. Im sure there are others, but she seems to be the most prominent.

Usually the only thing the admins remove is spam, and a thread that has become arguementive. It may have been deleted by mistake.

I've not removed any comment or photos in a month. A couple threads have been deleted that turned out to have been from people that ended up being spammers, but that is it. Which thread was your comment on?

Thayer, I can't speak for Karen (she's a wonderful moderator by the way - but I suspect you have figured that out yourself), but I will speak for me, don't beat yourself up. All of us were new to the forum at some point and learning the ins and outs and how to navigate the site.

For future reference, a quick way to find one of your posts (or started threads), is to go to your profile page. You'll see a list of options (under your name & picture) that looks something like this:

Find latest started threads

Then you can click on the appropriate choice.
