Happy Halloween everybody! Hope your crafting isn't "scary" this week LOL.

I am buzzing right along on "It was the 80s", With the asymmetrical setting, there's a lot more complex cutting and piecing than a straight sashed quilt.

I am struggling along walking foot quilting gentle curves on a king quilt. It will be done eventually.
I started putting together some blocks and planning a quilt for 5 yo DGS since his new comforter makes him too hot. He has a loaner until I get this one made. Perhaps they will all be done by Christmas.
I bought the notions to make some shaped Christmas trees for my lunch group yesterday, I need to get off the computer and busy in the sewing room.

Making progress on Kaleidoscope Dreams. I had some problems getting the pinwheel corners blocks the right size. I was finally reduced to using scrap fabric to figure it out. A little fudging here and there and it looks close enough to me.

Next I get to start on the more challenging paper pieced blocks.

Everyone is busy making beautiful progress. Denise, love the progress on that quilt. I'm glad you didn't get a tornado last week. Although I associate these with Midwest US, we do seem to be getting more of them here as well.

I made the blocks for the Seminole border, and have started piecing them together. I haven't had much time in the sewing room since coming back from weekend retreat. There is another one that has space at the end of November, and a tag on 4 day with a teacher, but this is too close to xmas planning. I'm really struggling with getting quilts finished. I seem to be pulled in all directions. I have so many tops done that need quilting, I will rent long arm in November for large ones.

Still plugging away on the Barn quilt. And when I get too tired of it, I started making a few of the Christmas ornaments I've been leaving tuts here for everyone's use this holiday season. I wanted some project to use my "left over" Christmas fabrics". This is working.

A couple of little ornaments, then back to the barn quilt. Still need to grab photos, tho. sorry.

I got the 2 borders attached. I have decided on the shades of brown from Northcott for the 3rd border. I will cut it 6" wide. I Hope to get it done this week.
