Good luck and good sales at the craft show. I hope the "bowl cozy gremlin" doesn't show up this year. But I know you can handle her!

I just got back from a craft sale, many bowl cozies for sale at different booths but all those had just one layer of batting. I usually put in two, how many do you use?
One yard of fabric, like one cookie, is never enough!

I always use 2. I think that is why mine outsell some of the others, because mine just feel thicker. I don't know who decided it was ok to only use 1 layer. I guess they do it to keep the cost down, but that isn't fair to the customer in my opinion. And most of them sell them for more than I sell mine for....oh well...I know I will sell out, or close to it...and I have 102 going with me.

Your set-up looks wonderful, Marilyn! Love all your fabrics. Isn't it funny about those bowl cozies? They're not very fancy - no intricate piecing or decorative embellishments, but they sell like mad! I just got a call from the little shop here asking me if I would make them 20 every month, as they can't keep them in stock. I also use 2 layers of batting. I cut the batting at 10" square, and the fabrics at 10.5" x 11". That way I have less bulk in the seams, and the extra half-inch makes it easier when I turn them right-side out.
