Hello from N.Y.
Hello, I'm pleased to be here. Love lap size quilts that are perfectly suited to our numerous loungers in our home. I do have a question that has been heavy on the mind. How can we prevent lint of all sorts being attracted to our quilts?
I presently use unbleached cotton, is there something else I should use instead. I enjoy working with black borders but my oh my they seem to be the worst.

Greeting from New Orleans. No idea how to stop lint from collecting, but I sure would love to know if there's something for it.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Your lint problem? Maybe the air in your house is too dry and you need a humidifier. But lint is like dust, it just shows up more on dark fabrics. When I sew wearing dark clothes the thread sticks to everything and you should see some of my navy blue socks from sewing without shoes!! Or when you wash your quilts maybe put two dryer sheets in the dryer. Static attracts lint too.
