Hello everybody,
I seen my specialist yesterday in Nashville and he told YOU ARE IN REMISSION! He said it 3 times. He said the percentage that shows in the report are dead cells that have not made it out of my marrow yet. We cried. Well I actually cried all the way home. He is very concerned with the "spells" ;as I call them; that have come back as of Sept 17th I have had 4 in a month. He doesn't understand why I suddenly(always at night) start with hard chills then high fever then the heaving and massive headache in the morning. I don't get it either. This is what happened for 3 months before I finally went to have my blood checked and of course my blood was low this is when I found out I had cancer, but now as he put it "Your blood is pristine!" He said its perfect. We just can't figure it out. Anyway I am to monitor my spells so we can make a connection hopefully. I also told him I DID NOT want to see Dr. xxxx anymore because he has basically blown me off and I shouldn't have to assume anything. He of course won't say anything bad about a colleague but he agrees with why I'm so upset with him. He will now be my oncologist. I go once a month to have my blood drawn and see him while I am there. I am very happy he took me as one of his patients. He specializes in rare types of cancer of the blood and will set and explain to you everything and does not back out of the room as you are asking him a question. He cares about his pts and wants you to be satisfied with your visit before you leave. He is awesome.
I can't tell you how appreciative I am for all of you prayers and PM. This is the best group of friends anyone can have. I have started back sewing after not being able to since Dec. I actually took what I have been saving up for a multi needle machine and bought just that. A 6 needle baby lock. I told my husband I'm going for it. I don't know what the future holds for me but I am not going to stop doing what I love to do. He said go for it! So in late August I did just that.
Ya'll have a GREAT weekend.
Hugs
Rhonda
