    Default goof

I cut 10" squares from yardage. Somehow along the way instead of 10" squares it ended up on one side to be
9 3/4 which means when I sew it to a 10" square of coarse it is off. So should I cut all of them down to say 9 1/2. I am making a Disappearing Hourglass Crazy Eight. I am thinking as long as everything is cut to the same size it should not really matter other than the finished size of the quilt.
    Thank you

If it were me, I would cut them all down to the same size.

If only some of them are 9 3/4 you could use the 10" ones for guiding your seam allowance. The slight difference in the seam allowance layers would not matter. If all are 9 3/4 then I would probably cut them all to 9 1/2 to make my math easier.

You could cut them all the same size before you start or use them as is and make the correction when you square them up.

I think it will be easier if all the blocks are the same size before you start sewing.

I agree to cut them all first. You know when you are counting something and then stop and go "wait, how many was that now?'' You know you've done that. lol
