Re: Getting the hang of ruler work
It does take ,ore time to quilt with rulers, but the more you use them, you will get faster. The results are much better. There is still opportunity to is in some FMQ to break the monotony.
Your quilt turned out beautifully. I love the pattern, the colours and your quilting. Well done!

What a colorful & beautiful quilt! You did a fantastic job also with the piecing. Yes, ruler work can be tedious & time consuming, but the results are a beautiful quilt. I was thinking about how Angela Walters probably would have done that all free hand without using rulers.

Re: Getting the hang of ruler work
Really nice! I find part of the issue in some ruler work is not having enough space open to sew the whole length of the line I want to sew. Also figuring out a path to sew so you don,t have to clip threads and restart in another position. But the results are sure worth it!

Re: Getting the hang of ruler work
You have done an amazing job. I just sent for Angela Walter's "cheater top" so that I can follow her upcoming lessons. She says she'll be teaching both FMQ and ruler work. Seeing your gorgeous quilting is an inspiration. Thank you for sharing your photos.
Toni ... If I keep sewing long enough, will they make their own dinner?
