    Quilting Wolves

My sweet daughter in law just lost her Dad. His last name was Wolfe. She is expecting her first child which will be a girl. She wants to decorate the nursery in Wolves to honor her Dad. I like to piece a baby quilt for each of my grands. I can't for the life of me figure out what to do with the wolf theme. Any ideas???

    How about something like these
    sigpic

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

Here are some really cute fox quilt patterns suitable for a babies quilt. If you change the coloration the foxes will look just like a wolf

Not sure where in Wyoming you are, but just across the border in Lyons, Co, Barbara Yates Beasley will be having an Animal Portrait Class (Beginning) at the end of October.

I find her art amazing, and would love to take her class.

Some of those are perfect. I like the wolf head panels with the pink flowers. Really different.

I had never thought of changing the colors of a fox pattern to the grays of a wolf. That is a really good idea. I also love the Spoon Flower fabric with the pink flowers. I think I will get that for the backing.

Spoonflower has some amazing wolf fabric. That wolf in the mist and howling wolf cub are so cute, but OMG the prices! This is a wonderful project though and I can see why you are excited about it.

I saw on Spoonflower they carry minky. When they first started you only had a couple of choices. They have grown so much.

Do a web search for wolf panels or wolf fabric. There are many options out there. Many of them aren't very "girly", but I'm sure there must be something that will work.

I did more searching last night & this a.m. I found some really cute fabric that might work. It has various forest animals in it, including a wolf. It's called Magic Forest Animals by Elizabeth Studio. It comes with a white background or a lt. blue background. I saw it on several different web sites with varying prices. It comes in both a panel & yardage. It should be girly enough for your baby.
