Default Thread color for flange binding.

I am putting a flange binding on my quilt. The flange part is red and the binding is off white. I am using a stitch in the ditch foot but my thread still shows sometimes. What color should I use, red for the flange or off white?

I think the off-white would be less noticeable. Are you able to move your needle a little bit to the right so that your stitching falls entirely on the binding? It would look like top-stitching, and the flange would float freely.

If you machine sew to the top first and hand stitch to the back you there's no need for any top stitch. If your method requires stitching from the front, I'd use Monopoly. Missing the ditch is way less visible. We spent most of our lives trying to stay out of ditches... until we started quilting.

If I were doing it, I would use a micro quilter 100 wt thread or monopoly.
