Chocolate Oatmeal

I made my first steel cut oatmeal of the season today. I hadn't expected it to be this chilly so early in the season so I had no fresh fruit to put on my oatmeal. I had some Swiss Miss hot chocolate left over from last winter so I added half a packet to my steel cut oatmeal.

Ta dah, chocolate oatmeal. Tastes awesome.

I have done tbis, but added a little peanut butter as well.

@wlr: My school district had a unique recipe for peanut butter & oatmeal bars. They were so good that our alumni organization recently hunted down the recipe & published it for all us baby boomers. You have hit upon a great idea!

If you like chocolate try a little Nutella. I put a little in my cream of wheat.

When I was a child, I wasn't very fond of oatmeal. We used to mix peanut butter into our hot cereal. It tasted better that way.
