    Default Fan Quilt finnished for a friend

    My friend's great aunt hand pieced the fans of this quilt, and my friend has had them in a bag ever since. She asked me to do something with it, so after collaboration, this is what we came up with. Finally finished it a few minutes ago, and she's coming to get it later this evening. Lots of marking for the crosshatch, but I'm pleased with the end result.     What a beauty. The scalloped edges and the hand pieced fans are a perfect match.

    Karen, if your friend doesn't weep with joy, don't worry I'm doing it for her. I love it when anyone brings life into a project that someone else wasn't able to complete, and you did a wonderful job of it.
