Default Make an "Inside Out Heart" Wall Hanging Quilt with Jenny Doan

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

This is great! I'm considering the goal of 2020 being a productive quilting year, and doing something like a "finished project a week" kind of thing. This would be great for the week of Valentine's Day 2020.

    Thanks, Jenny and M* crew!

I had some charm squares left over from a top I finished last night and decided this heart tutorial would be perfect to use up those charms. I made the block 12-inches and will donate it to a silent auction that requires the 12-inch finished blocks. This was an easy and fun block to make.

Oh my, that's beautiful! I was thinking of using the smaller squares so I could hang it on the front door. Thanks! Now I know I will!

Sheep Farmer ~ Your mini quilt turned out great. I think this pattern lends itself to many options. I'm not crazy about the big white heart. I was thinking the focus fabric of the heart could be almost anything. Since I make mostly crib size baby quilts, I probably would add extra rows to the top & bottom to make it rectangular.

This would make a cute baby quilt. Maybe doing the white heart part with minky or chenille or something with texture. Or if you can FMQ use solid white for the heart then quilt something fancy or swirly with colored thread. You know, have a glass of wine and channel your inner Angela Walters.

Love the idea of making the center with minky or chenille. How sweet would that be?
