I started a Christmas tree with this method once. Can't say it was quick or easy. Pushing all those pins in took it's toll on my finger tips.

This is the first and only time I used a thimble. Helped a bunch!

No no! Don't show me Christmas ornaments on Pinterest! LOL!! I love making Christmas ornaments & have several that my kids made. The only problem (not really) with Pinterest is that there are sooooo many I see I want to make. I'm telling myself if I can get my sewing room done soon I can make a few in time for Christmas.

This is so like the Xmas balls my mom used to make with scraps of fabric. She used the bowl end of a spoon to press the fabrics into the styrofoam balls in a crazy patchwork pattern. You can make them any size. My kids loved making them.
