    Diamond Chain Quilt

I saw this in the Vol 6 Issue 4 of Block magazine and thought it would be perfect to use up lots of scraps. Well, I was right about that. However, so many pieces to match up had me a bit crazy. Lots of taking apart and re-sewing. In any case, I completed it (it's not exactly perfect) and it done. I will be taking this to the Veteran's Nursing Home. It's a good size 60 x 70 so it should be fine for the top of a twin size bed.

Wow, and Yes!!! Many pieces. I find myself avoiding patterns with lots of small pieces anymore. Your quilt is beautiful and I applaud your decision to take it to the VA Nursing Home. They will always love and appreciate your talent, your love and your gift.

Your quilt looks great to me. Like Jenny says, "Finished is better than perfect." We are our own worst critics & see mistakes that no one else (even other quilters) notice. Pat yourself on the back for a job well done.

Beautiful quilt, but you're scaring me! I just bought the pattern and fabrics for it and now I'm questioning myself as to whether I have the skills for it or should save the fabrics for a simpler project. Nice job on yours.

That looks like my kind of scrappy. Love it.

Very nice! This pattern is the very first quilt I ever made. I threw it in the garbage one time when I moved bc I thought it looked "too homemade." Wish I had it now so I could see how far I've come.
