Love that T-shirt! One of my patients came into the clinic wearing a T-shirt that said, "I've got chemo brain. What's your excuse?" Made me laugh out loud.

Robin, I hadn't heard of your diagnosis. My heart is with you, and I'll be praying for you.

Beautiful job on the cross stitch, and such a great message. Well done.

Hi, Robin ~ I clicked on the link to your Pinterest page. Wow, you've made a lot of beautiful quilts! I really like that one, Into the Light. So...where are you now in your breast cancer journey? Are you done with chemo. or whatever treatments you're been undergoing? I hope you're doing okay. Thoughts & prayers.

Whew, I just got back to read this page and I really need to explain myself. I'm not the one with the cancer diagnosis, my husband has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. It's very treatable and was caught just in time. All twelve biopsies had cancer but it had not spread to his bones, yet. He will have his prostate removed October 8. We are only 56 years old and his PSA levels were normal, thankfully there were other symptoms that led him to seeking treatment.

On a good note, here is my newest counted cross stitch project from fatquartershop. I will have lots of time in the next month to work on it!

Edited to add: After several dentist/endodontist visits I had a tooth pulled and am undergoing an implant. After several dentist/endodontist visits Terry had a root canal and is undergoing a cap. We are racking up the medical bills and putting lots of miles on the van. The endodontist is 70 miles away and the doctor/specialist/hospital is 100 miles away. That's why I'm getting so much work done!

X-stitch used to be my passion. My eyes can't handle it anymore. Your piece is glorious. Is it a Lori Holt pattern?

Robin, that is so cute! Bet it feels good to finish a project. I'm working on a project while visiting DD & family, as I couldn't bring my sewing machine with me! But it's been a really long time since I've done hand sewing, and I'm calling it "counted cross-eyed stitching!"

Robin, That is beautiful!!! The frame is perfect!!!! I have the exact same cross stitch pattern but have not started it yet. Hope mine comes out half as good as yours, at least. Hang in there, things will get better.

Re: Not a Quilt but Finally a Finish!

Robin, Just read the rest of the threads here. So sorry to hear that your husband has cancer but sounds like he will do well. I was torn between the sewing themed pattern and the Christmas pattern. Finally decided on the sewing one for my new sewing room (it won't be new by the time I finish it though. LOL) I, too, just looked through your quilts on pinterest. They are beautiful and you certainly have been busy!!! I am hoping that when my house is finished and my sewing room is set up, it will inspire me to spend more time in there getting things done.

Hope you and your husband soon beat the medical blues. Will miss you at the retreat this year.

Prayers for you and your husband. I love to x-stitch and your project is adorable. I like patterns that don't require a lot of backstitching.
