Jelly Roll rug
I could use some help yet again.
I am making a jelly roll rug. When I sew the strips together, my zig zag stitch seems to be skipping. I tested on a reg piece of fabric and it worked fine.
Now it is skipping stitches. changed the needle, changed from walking foot to reg foot.
I don't know what to try next.
Did anyone else have this problem.
Pretty frustrating as I was all set for a day of sewing and now I am stumped
Thanks for any suggestions

Re: Jelly Roll rug
Use a 16/100 needle; lengthen your stitch; use your walking foot and go SLOW. When I made mine I found that if I went at my regular speed the stitches were not even. Good luck!

I agree, let us know if this helped.

Agree with birdscaps and MaggieSue. Also, if your machine will let you reduce the pressure of your presser foot a tiny bit that may help as well. The "rope" is pretty thick and some machines just can't handle the extra thickness. Good luck. those rugs are really beautiful.
