    Default Using a binding foot

I have found videos on using a bias binding foot. I have also watched videos on making mitered corners with the foot.
However, I canít find information on connecting the beginning and end pieces with binding foot. Any suggestions or videos?1

I have never used a binding foot. I just use my regular walking foot.

I never even heard of a binding foot and I don't have a WF either. I just use my quarter inch foot for everything and I don't have any trouble joining my ends with it. I have a very basic noncomputerized sewing machine, Janome, and I quilt by hand so I don't need anything fancy.
Edit: I found this link: How To Use A Binding Foot | Sewing Bee Fabrics

I did read it. It seems way too fussy for me but maybe it will help answer your question.

The binding foot you speak of is for attaching the double fold bias binding tape that is pre-folded and sold in packs. One brand is Wrights. There may be others. It locates the tape and attaches both sides at the same time and you adjust it to put the stitching line however close to the edge you prefer.

I'm fairly certain none of us here use that "binding method" on quilts.
You gots to risk it to gets the biscuit-

The reason you can't find any videos on connecting and finishing with the binding foot is that it can't be done. Because the binding goes through the foot, finishing would actually sew the foot into the binding. You will need to finish the last bit with your regular foot. This tutorial shows how to put on binding with a regular foot, but I think if you put on the main part of your binding with the binding foot, then this finishing method would still work for you, just switching to your regular foot. The finishing part begins shortly after the 8 minute point in the video, but you will need to leave a tail when you begin.

Good luck, and please let us know how it works if you try this.
