    Default Butterfly Sunshine Lattice

This is Jenny's Sunshine Lattice pattern. This is my new favorite M* pattern. It has strong lines and a sense of movement. There is very little fabric waste from the layer cake. It looks complicated but it really isn't. You can easily use fabric from your stash instead of a layer cake. All the seams nest resulting in a flat square quilt. Change the fabric and suitable for many applications. And it looks fabulous. LOVE IT

I used 20 different fabrics from my stash of butterfly fabric.

Here is a picture of how beautifully the seams nest. Join the narrow edges first. Press the top seam left and the bottom seam right. Then join the long edges and pinwheel open.

I plan to custom quilt this when the weather cools down and hang it on my wall. I decided not to add the additional borders shown in the pattern because without the borders it is already 72.25 x 79.5 and my hanging rod is only 72" wide.

Also if you use a background fabric with a non uniform print it will hide if your points don't line up perfectly.

Huh. I really didn't like this pattern when Jenny did it but it is amazing how different fabric changes up the whole look. I like this a lot.

Love this, and love that there's little fabric waste - it always makes me feel so guilty!

I didn't like that pattern either when I watched the tutorial. I agree, fabric choices can make or break a quilt! I love this new version of this pattern.
