    Default Hawaiian flower scraps

Looking for suggestions. I am sewing Amy Smartís Lattice quilt with lovely floral fabric I purchased in Hawaii last winter. I have lots of odd scraps left and want to make another quilt with these scraps. Too expensive and too pretty not to use! Any suggestions for a quilt pattern?

Jenny's quilt called Jack and Jill (also called Twin Sisters). It would help knowing the size range of your scraps so we could make better suggestions.

Many of the pieces are around 3” wide and 8 inches long and then others are more like 7” squares. There is no yardage left, just piec s left over and I cut 1/4 yd into 10” squares that showed off the flowers. Hope this helps.

Your rectangular scraps are a bit smaller than a jolly bar, maybe you could adapt a jolly bar pattern from Fat Quarter Shop?

Jenny has a Jack & Jill tutorial but I also found MSQC's Quilt Snips tutorial on how to do this pattern as well :

I would make a scrappy disappearing 9 patch. Pick a fabric that goes well with all the others and use it for the center square. Remember, the squares can be any size just as long as they are all the same size.

If your really want to stretch the fabric, use another blender fabric for the middle squares on the sides. Kona has a lot of solid colors to choose from.

Jean Sewing Machine made an hawaiian shirt quilt with her daughter. Maybe contact her for ideas.
Blessed are the children of the piecemakers for they shall inherit the quilts!
