Well, when you cut the pieces from the wrong sets of strips, you have to reimagine the pattern.
This was supposed to be a quick and easy Hip to be Square from Donna Jordan. I miss cut the long pieces from the strips that were supposed to be the short pieces. Oh well, it happens.
Melinda and Cecelia were here yesterday and we laid out the pieces. Mel's idea was to put the squares 'on point'. Do large corner squares, strips here, strips there. There wasn't enough to do her main idea. I've spent a lot of time with the ripper! I worked on it last night, and finally decided to go find some cream colored batik.
Here's the final top. I'll get Mike to help me sandwich it when he gets home. Right now it's thread trimming time.
