ID:	159961Managed to get this purple, purple purple quilt finished today even through all the sadness . I used almost all of the purple in my stash (probably have enough to make another really scrappy one...ha ha) Have a lot of left over scraps to add to my strip stash that I keep trying to use up but it grows exponentially everytime I make a new quilt. Amazing isn't it?
This one is 79x87...kind of an odd dimention. I had a hard time coming up with enough to make bindings and borders but...alas, I think it worked out.

It's actually kind of appropriate that you finished your very-purple quilt today, of all days. In many religions, purple is the color used to symbolize mourning.
Toni ... If I keep sewing long enough, will they make their own dinner?

Beautiful quilt and I love the colour. Quilting is a great way to grieve, and good therapy.

Toni - that's also the first thought that came to mind. When my grandmother died I was 11, most of the women wore black, some purple. My mom bought me a purple dress. I had never had a purple clothing item, but I loved it even though I was sad, it reminded me of the great times that I spent with my memère.

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.

Terry, I have watched your quilts and quilting grow so much over the last several years. Very inspiring. Your quilt is really nice.

Your encouragement kept me going. You all must have been lyao looking at some of my first quilts that I was proudly showing off! No one mentioned how sloppy they were. You all just patted my arm and said good job and I beamed like a child! You're still doing it, but, yes, I am getting better. The customers with Shriners have also been overly kind towards my effort. I have so much gratitude for this group! The fact that you supported me and sent your beautiful works to blend with mine which I looked at in awe. I still do.

I love purple & lavender. Love your quilt. That turned out great. I agree with the comment about how your quilting has progressed over the years. Keep up the good work.
