Thank you, Everyone, for your wonderful birthday wishes! It's helped to make my day special. I received several cards -- both in the mail & via e-mail -- as well as a few cards from church friends in our mailbox at church. DH finds a card in my stash & writes his own personalized sentiments. He hasn't driven the car for 10 yrs. so no longer is able to get out to shop independently. His BD is Sat. I just turned 77 & he'll be 76. I might indulge in a piece of cheesecake yet today. I keep it in the freezer & eat it only occasionally.
I did the usual Mon. a.m. laundry. This afternoon I've been sorting through my fabric to see what might work for Lisa's hygiene kits for Zambia. That need sparked my interest. I found some flannel that will work. I know I have some fleece on hand. I have lots of batting strips, but I'll need to remove the fabrics from the edges first. They are strips I've trimmed off several quilts. A "rippit" job I keep postponing.
