    Default Oh no, help

Ok, fellow quilters. This is not quite quilting but I know someone can help. Just finished sewing up a cross stitched Christmas stocking. On a place of course near the top, where there is no stitching I have just found the tines spot of blood. Probably from a pin pick while doing the lining.

Can you please suggest what I can use to get rid of it.

Blood stain, material. I knowe you can help.

    Thanks soooo much.

Soak it in Cold water. It will rinse it all out. Good luck!

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

Many, many years ago an older quilter taught that if you spit on it, rub and rinse with cold water. It will come out. It must be your own saliva. I have done it and it works. Seems that the enzymes in saliva will do the job.

GF is right. Spit works. This happens all the time with hand quilting and I know from experience it works. I would put spit on a Q-tip and work it in with that, your fingers might have some oils in the skin you cannot see.

Dip a Qtip into Hydrogen peroxide and dab the blood spot. It removes it instantly. Been doing this for years. it always works
