    Default Pineapple quilt

Hi I am in the middle of doing Jenny Missouri Star pineapple quilt and really enjoying it. I am now thinking what pattern to do for the actual quilting any ideas would be very welcome.

Well, I suggest you DON'T stitch in the ditch!

Sorry, couldn't help myself. I have two ideas: either emphasize the individual pineapples by spiraling in and out of each, or straight line quilt in a giant cross hatch from corner to corner of every block, i.e. There'd be an X in each pineapple.

I have two questions for you. Did you use the full size ruler like Jenny uses in the tutorial or the my i pineapple ruler that was offered as a Daily Deal (that I mistakenly bought)? And how much waste did the process generate?

Please post a photo when the quilt is completed!
Toni ... If I keep sewing long enough, will they make their own dinner?

Thank you for the reply. I used the full size ruler like jenny used. Do you know where I can get a cross hatch ruler from I'm new to all this

I just take my longest ruler and find a spot where I can make a line through blocks at an even looking line. Then just start marking from that line. Some use the 45 degree line to start, but I use the pattern of my blocks to decide what angle to make the first line of stitching. I hope that makes sense. Sometimes I have quilted 3 inches apart, sometimes, 2 and sometimes even 4, depends on what I think will look best with the design. In other words I WING IT !

I wanted to post before but this quilt was inaccessible in my camper. Here is how I quilted my Pineapple (not Jenny's method though)

In the cream area I just quilted a wavy line around the outside edge. In the darker areas I quilted a leafy vine.
