I have to echo everyone else, its beautiful! I love the scalloped edge and the way the binding brings out the lavender.

Ditto to all the above remarks. I love the soft colors. You did a great job on this one. I still have not made a scalloped binding.

It really wasn't too hard. I used a clover binding maker which makes single not double binding. I think that made it contour better. I also sewed the front down before the scallop was trimmed. I glued the first side down using miracle tape [glue on a roll] before stitching.

Love the soft colors on this. I was very tempted by that DD. Which pattern did you use? And you did a beautiful design on the scallop. I have not tried that yet but hope to someday.

Claire, your quilt is lovely. It reminds me of a bed topper from my childhood. We had a guest house that I used to play in, and your quilt takes me back to that little cottage. We only lived in the main house for two years, and it made me so sad to hear the next owner tore down the guest house. My parents told me it had termites. At age 10, I didn't understand. But your quilt has afforded me a fun walk down memory lane.
Toni ... If I keep sewing long enough, will they make their own dinner?

The pattern is granny stars from an old Fons and Porter magazine.

I wanted to make one that looked really old and cuddly, it seems I succeded.
