    Default Half way to Christmas

This past Christmas, Nana and Nandy's children and I hatched a plan to make a quilt for their Christmas present for this year. Between her three children and my oldest son's family and me it would split the costs so it wouldn't be a burden for anyone.

I finished the top in March before I fell and about two weeks after my fall the long armers were done with the quilting. It's been sitting on the cedar chest in my bedroom waiting patiently for me to finish it. Yesterday afternoon, I made the binding. This morning I sewed the binding on and took a long break. Then later, I went back and pressed the binding out, and took another long break. After dinner I clipped the binding, and stitched it down. Mike's gone back and searched and clipped strings. I love it. It's going to be hard to give this one away!

Everyone tells me- you know you're going to make Nana cry... I hope they'll be tears of joy.

It's beautiful. Love that fabric line. I know what you mean about being hard to give it away. If you remember, that's the same fabric line I used for my niece's quilt. It was hard to give it away.

Katrina, this is a true beauty. I agree that it will be difficult to part with. You do get to pull it out and look at it, from now to xmas.

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.
