Default Raise Your Trunk... and Dance

This is from Jenny's elephant pattern Ararat, I think I will call it Elephant Dance. I am giving it as a wedding gift so I raised his trunk for good luck and prosperity. Her new husband is from India so hopefully it will be liked. I will be adding more borders so the couple can both fit under it for a TV kind of quilt.

Love it! Love the pattern that created the howdah and you used most of the colors which are used in religious ceremonies. Red, yellow (turmeric), green from leaves, and white.

Beautiful. I love turned up trunks for good luck.

Love the floral prints you selected for the elephant. So pretty.

Lucy, what a fun quilt! And the thought behind it is lovely. Love the happy fabrics for the elephant and the yellow background is so cheerful! Beautiful quilt.

The elephant is one of my most favorite animals. Yours is very beautiful. They'll love it.
