Musical quilt finished!

I started collecting fabrics to make a musical quilt for a friend who owns a music store. I didn't have a pattern, I just started cutting pieces and making blocks and laying it out on my design wall. It measures 66x70.

The back is also pieced with musical fabrics. I quilted on my Sweet 16 using rulers and FMQ the main panel and musical instruments in some of the smaller pieces.

Oh Suzanne - that is awesome. I've been wanting to make my DH a music quilt and this would be perfect. I need to make a queen size though.

Marvelous. I think your friend will be truly astounded. I know looking for musical theme fabric is a chore in itself. I have had several requests but the fabric is just too hard to find. you did fantastic.
