Default What's on your Memorial Day menu?

We have a beautiful sunny day today, perfect day to begin the 2019 BBQ season. Looking for some recipes, something new or maybe one of your family's favorites.

    We did
Our barbeque yesterday and had a great family day. May, I tried a new pasta salad recipe that is on the back of the Knorr pesto mix package. It was very good. I omitted the chicken as we had enough meat. It would definitely make a nice summer meal with the chicken though.

Going next door for a neighborhood party later, I am taking baked beans made with hamburger and lots of burned bacon [with the grease] and a peanut butter pie.

We will be having bbq'd ribs, baked beans and corn on the cob. Probably some ice cream for dessert.

First barbecue of the season if the weather holds. We've had rain and clouds all weekend except for about 4 hours on Saturday. Should have planned our barbecue for that day. Anyway, kids will be over and we are having hamburgers with a toppings bar, my potato salad, homemade ice cream and a raspberry cobbler. Enjoy your holiday all!

Ya'll are making me feel lazy. We're having burgers, tater tots, and sundaes.

No BBQ today as we were riding along the Bay and stopped for some fresh made fish cakes at the local fishery. Heating them up in the oven right now and we'll have them with some red clam sauce and a salad. This fish store is usually jam packed on Friday and Saturday and we just had to take advantage of today's short waiting time for an order.

Mike was planning on grilling, until he used the temp gun to find out the patio was 120+ degrees. We settled for the George Foreman grilled burgers. With a high of 102 and by dinner time it was only 98, I think we made the wise choice of cooking indoors.

We bbq'd last weekend, this one we worked outside and remembered our fallen heroes and lost lovedones. Drove into town in the convertible but most of the local restaurants were closed so we opted for arby's and came home, took a dip in the pool and made a pb & j . Exciting huh?
