    Default College quilt

    Hey Friends,
My daughter is headed off to college in the fall. Im looking for a modern fun twin size quilt pattern to make for her bed. Any suggestions or ideas you can share with me?
    Thank you so much!

check out Donna Jordan's Curvaceous quilt tutorial today. Might work with the right fabrics. Nice and bright and fun.

Maybe a quilt of circles with fabric prints of her favorite things. I made my daughter a killer whale quilt , that she loves a lot.

I made my daughter a "sticks and stones" quilt by Jenni (M*). It was shades of teal/aqua - easy and went together fast. There is a tutorial on you tube.
For my son, I made the "attic window" with the deer panel.

How about any pattern you'd like but in the school colors?

I did something like this for my DDs at college. Only I used my emb. machine to emb. things they were interested in, simple patchwork. That was nearly 20 years ago and they still use them

Here's one from my Pinterest board, great if you have solids, and you wouldn't even need a pattern:

Pinterest has lots of others too. Just search modern quilts.
Or this one. It looks like squares and HST. Again you could do this without a pattern

Fat quarter shop has a free pattern called school spirit, it is a two color quilt that is quite easy to construct

I'm so glad someone posted this! I had seen it recently and thought it was perfect but could not remember where I saw it.
