Default measure your binding star tool

I am making the binding star quilt from the block magazine and I don't have the binding star tool. It appears to be a 2 1/2 inch x8 inch with a 45 degree angle on the end. Before I cut out these pieces, would someone measure their tool so I get the right length. Thank you

Long edge is actually 8 3/4 with a square off edge.
Give me a moment and i'll post a picture

CORRECTION, that's 8 3/8 inches. (Time to get new glasses)

I made a baby quilt using that tool a long time ago, but I've misplaced it! It's probably buried in a pile somewhere. Sorry I can't help.

    Here you go!

Terry, would you like to borrow mine? I'm not going to be using it anytime soon and can put it in the mail to you Thursday.

Caroline, that was a brilliant way to send Terry the measurements. Wow!
Toni ... If I keep sewing long enough, will they make their own dinner?

;no, I don't mail it . I will have DH cut one out for me. I only plan to make one of these quilts with some batiks that I have.

No, don't mail it. I will have DH cut one out for me from a thin piece of wood. I don't intend to make more than one of these. I have some batik stash and thought it would be a pretty pattern for them.

Terry ~ You can put your own markings on the plywood with a Sharpie.
