    Default Practice

    Hi
    This is today's practice piece

I tried a Jamie Wallen style of feathers and some of Angela Walters Swirl Hooks and some pebbles.

In the grid I will try some Gridwork of some type, yet to be determined.

Right now I am having a break. I will have a cup of thea and then walk the dog.
After that I might have some idea on what to practice next.

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

I hope someday, Anika, that my finished piece would look half as good as your practice.

Now I am finished practicing for today

This is how far I got.
I will fill in more in the cathedral windows.
It was fun to write my name with fmq but I need more practice there.

    Here are some more pictures.

Anika ~ Good practice. I use Angela Walters' hook swirl quite a bit. I still haven't mastered feathers or pebbles, but I've used the serpentine design in borders. Keep up the good work.

Awsome, love the way you blended the two patterns but looks like one beautiful design.
