Prayers Please - DS#1 is in the hospital

I just got a msg. from DS#1 (first name is Brad; he lives in MD, age 52) that he is being kept over night in the hospital. He saw the nurse at work today & his B/P was very high, so went to the ER. They've been giving him IV meds, but as soon as they reduce or stop them, his B/P goes back up. They haven't found the cause of his high B/P yet. There's a possibility it could be related to a congenital malformation in his neck, called a syrinx. He may need an MRI tomorrow. Naturally, he's frustrated that there wasn't a quick fix & he's having to stay in the hosp. Prayers, please, that the doctors will figure out the cause of the problem & be able to treat it successfully. Other than the fact that he's ~30 lb. overweight, he's been very healthy. I appreciate any & all prayers for him. I'll keep you updated when I know more.

Uh-oh Joy this is kind of scary, you must be on edge. Keeping him overnight is a good thing. He is in good hands, you must know that. Please update us in a few days if you can. We will be sending good thoughts his way, and yours. It must be hard being on opposite ends of the country though, aren't you in Colorado?
