String quilt

I made this quilt for a lady I have never met. My hubs and his best friend meet for coffee in a little shop several times a week, been doing this for years. There is a lady who comes in regularly too, also for many years. A few months ago hubs hands me a bag of FQs, says they're from Sandy, the coffee shop lady. She told him she had hoped to make a quilt but life got busy with babysitting her grandkids so their parents can work. Most recently, her hubs was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. So she's given up the idea of making quilts.
I took her fabric and mixed in some of mine and made this string quilt for her. I'm excited to finally meet her next week at the coffee shop. Hope she likes the quilt.
