Confused..

Hi

I have stared at my color placement and tried so many variations that I feel totally lost at the moment.

Should I have a extra grey strip close to the dark framing border before the squares or
should the grey triangles go directly close to the dark framing border ?

Should I have the grey fabric repeat it self in the square section or should I have some other combination of color to extend the squares down so the quilt will be squarish ?

My head is spinning.

What is your thoughts ?

Beautiful work! I personally prefer the first photo without the extra strip. I think it maintains the motion and frames the star in an on-point continuous way.

Both layouts look ok, but I prefer the first pic on the left.

I agree about the photo on the left being the best choice. Beautiful either way though.

I prefer the picture on the left....leaving off the extra gray strip makes everything look more cohesive.
