The power of vinegar and baking soda. I need to try this on mine. While the plate is clean, I get gunk coming out of it once in a while. Wonderful. Thanks for sharing.

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.

    That is a good tip.

I use vinegar and baking soda in almost all my cleaning in the kitchen and bathroom.

And salt and fresh cut lemon for my dish bench. It gets real shiny and smells nice to!

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

This is very timely for me, Monique. I just started to notice the brown gunk on my iron. I will try this to clean it off—so much more economical than those "iron cleaning sheets" that don't really work.
Toni ... If I keep sewing long enough, will they make their own dinner?
